vPar CPU migration

Anyone care to shed light on whether CPUs can be migrated between vPars that are based on different nPars please. If so, is it by way of iCAP enable/disable sequence?

I am currently under the impression that CPUs can only be migrated between vPars that are in the same nPar.

Thanks

Martin,

I believe that would have to be true. There would be no way to access a CPU not belonging to the nPar that the vPar is in.

Re: vPar CPU migration

cpu migration between Vpars can only be done using active cpu's in the same Npar.
Therefore, to migrate cpu's between Vpars on differnet Npars, you would have to have iCAP cpus capacity that would allow you to disable an iCAP cpu on one Npar, then activate an iCAP cpu on the second Npar, allowingthe Vpar to tyhen use this cpu.
