Dial Back Modem

[ Edited ]

WE have recently replaced the dial up support modem( not the HP support modem)conneted to the DTC, and are now able to dial in succesfully. However, we previously had (pot/modem) security in place to prevent unauthorised access. Now, my issue is that the previous sysadmin has provided no clue at all as to how to set this up. Please advise!

Re: Dial Back Modem

Neither do we.

Make? Model? DTC profile please?

We're good, but not THAT good.

Re: Dial Back Modem

SBA,

It would also be helpful to include whether or not you have any security packages on your system. Did you utilize the same DTC port or a different port?

Questions for thought.

Re: Dial Back Modem

The modem is a Internet Pro Spirit Cougar 56K v.90 modem

AS for security packages, it seems to be clouded in a shroud of secrercy, as I can find no clues, documentation or spoken word! The port being used on the DTC is the same. IF it helps, the command used to enter the modem security is at#s
