3500 IOS upgrade errors

I am attempting to upgrade the IOS on a 3500 and keep getting these errors.

I followed the instructions / upgrade proceedures yet I continue to receive errors.
I have tried 3 different USB devices (which all work perfect in other switches) that are all formated FAT32.

See errors below:

I've checked the release notes, the white papers and the config guide and cannot find anything on this issue.

Any ideas?
Thanks,

Re: 3500 IOS upgrade errors

I would check the USB drive you are using.

Not all drives are supported. Generally small drives of 256 and 500 mb works.

Otherwize i would reccomend to use a tftp server instead to upload the image.

Hi Love2Surf

Would you mind posting the output of "show system"

Re: 3500 IOS upgrade errors

I've "fixed it"

I reset the switch to factory defaults and then upgraded it in increments.

Reset to factory is NO way to go in a production environment.  I swear, these HP switches are really clunky in their CLI

Re: 3500 IOS upgrade errors

You nearly always have to upgrade in major code release increments. eg K12 --> K13 -->K14 -->K15
Sometimes you can skip one - the release notes have the details.
