BPDUs
Hi,
We have the following configuration:
Switch 1 connected to WAN Firewall
LAN Firewall connected to Switch 2
Switch 1 is a HP Procurve 2610 and Switch 2 is a HP Procurve 2910. STP is enabled, MRSTP in both. Firewall propagates MRSTP. There is only one VLAN (default VLAN). How many BPDUS the switch 1 sends every 2 seconds? Is possible that this switch sends two different BPDUS with different port ids and different sources MACs (only different in the last character, I mean for example switch MAC address is xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:a0 and it sends one BPDU1 with source MAC xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:d0 and port id y and another BPDU2 with source MAC xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:d8 and port id z with xx:xx:xx:xx:xx the same characters). There aren directed cables between switches, I mean they are connected through the firewall.
Best Regards and thanks in advance.
