Better to use auto-edge-port or admin-edge-port, on 5412zl switchports?

Switch Made/Model:  USB HP 5412-92G-PoE+-2XG v2 zl Switch

Firmware: K.16.01.0004

Is it better practice to configure my individual switchports as admin-edge-port, or as auto-edge-port?

What acbout setting auto-edge-port on interfaces that are members of an LACP or trunk group?

For ports that will be connected to user equipment, I always use admin-edge-port (and BPDU filter/protection).

Hello.  Auto-edge will wait 3 seconds for the reception of a BPDU.  If it does not receive one the port is declared an edge-port and does not participate in spanning-tree or transmit BPDUs out the port.  If it does receive a BPDU then it is declared a non-edge-port and does participate.

Setting to admin-edge will cause the ports to immediately go to forward when the port comes onine.  If they are connected to end hosts you basically end up saving the 3 second wait time.
