LACP Blocked on HP Aruba 2920-48G Switch
I want to configure the two NICs on a Dell PowerEdge server as a team with LACP but to do so i also have to configure LACP on the switch.
I am using a HP Aruba 2920-48G Switch with the latest firmware (downloaded and installed last week) and have configured a static LACP for the two ports on the switch that the server is connected to and both ports are set to 'Auto'.
However, when i run command 'show lacp' one of the ports has a port status of 'Blocked' and a LACP status of 'Failure'.
Please can someone help with this so that both ports that are apart of this LACP group show as being up and have a LACP status of 'success'.
Thanks in advance for any help/advice given.

Re: LACP Blocked on HP Aruba 2920-48G Switch
The two nics on the server have been teamed as 802.3ad Link Aggregation using LACP. Both NICs have the latest firmware/drivers and the speed and duplex for both are set to auto negotiate.
I have not configured spanning tree at all on the switch and STP is currently disabled. Does this need to be enabled/configured?

Re: LACP Blocked on HP Aruba 2920-48G Switch
I have seen this happen if the load balancing mechanism is mismatched between the LACP partners.

Re: LACP Blocked on HP Aruba 2920-48G Switch
Have you considered, eventually, to test Dynamic LACP instead of Static LACP, Switch side?

Re: LACP Blocked on HP Aruba 2920-48G Switch
I did configure it as dynamic LACP to begin with but I got the same as i do now with static LACP - one of the ports went in to blocked status.
I've attached some screen shots showing the details/configuration of the team ports on the server side. It will only allow me to attach 5 so i will attach the rest in a separate reply.
