Procurve 3800 Direct Attach 10GB SFP+ to Netapp 3240
I'm looking at the best and cheapest way to connect a 3800 procurve to a netapp 3240 via 10GB. I have purchased the SFP+ modules for the switches already. The direct attach Netapp cables are about $500 each where the HP equivilents are just over $100 (I believe). I need to know what is supported from HP's stand point and if anyone has done this before?.
The interface cards I have in the netapp are X1107A-R6-C (2-port 10Gb Ethernet NIC with PCIe interface and stateless offload). They already have the SFP+ modules installed. I'm thinking about pulling the SFP+ modules out however as Direct attach would be cheaper than buying the SFP+'s for the HP switches.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
