Procurve 5406zl and multicast issue

A few months back I updated the firmware from a R13 to R14.47

From that time on we have multicast issues. When we start a ghost multicast session the

whole network will get disconnection problems with certain software. We didn't had those issues on R13.

Recently we updated the switches to 15.02.0005, but problems are still there.

We replaced the nortel edge switches with 2610-48's, but this dind't help either.

My milion dollar question is what changed in the firmware what is causing these overload problems.

And of course how to fix these.

Hi,

If your configuration was working fine with older firmware and now do not work as expected, the only explanation could be a regression in the code. Many fiwes relevant to L2/L3 multicast handling was done from K.13 to K.15.

You should escalate your issue to the product support.
