Email Subscription Notifications Suspended Temporarily
We are in the process of making navigation in the Servers and Operating Systems forums simpler and more direct. While doing this, we have to temporarily suspend email notifications for subscriptions. Procurve 8212zl - Cisco equipment

Hello

 

When connecting Cisco equipment to my 8212zl (also other procurves) Im always getting TX drops. Especially it happes to Cisco routers. I have tried to set both the 8212zl and the Ciscos on static 1000FDX or 100FDX, but still im getting drops.

 

What can I do to prevent this ?, the Cisco community blames the procurve (no suprise).

You should use auto/auto, especially if you want 1Gb connectivity.

Auto/auto is what im always using, Im aware that this is the best practice. Yet the procurves drops more packets with auto/auto, than with 1000FDX static.

 

This is only happning with Cisco devices, and only with wired RJ45, not with fiber modules.
