SPF and SPF+

Hi All,

I am looking at a J9536A which is SPF+ but using J4858C which is SPF will they work fine...?

I would not count on that working without it beeing explicity said somewhere in the docs of the card, and I cant find it. I know that most of the A-series SFP+/10G slots are backwards compatible with SFP/1G, but then its specified in the specs.

Yes, the 20-Port Gig-T PoE+ / 2-Port SFP+ v2 zl Module (J9536A) does support the SPF mentioned in your question on the minimum SW K.15.02.0004 and later.

Just a side note. The matrix is definitive as there are some older types of SFP+ modules that do not accept 1GB SFP's.

In this case Mik-HPN is spot on :)
