Hi,
It been a while since I last had to configure a switch on our network and I'm having trouble specifiying the snmp-server host which is our procurve manager box,
In config mode I enter snmp-server host 10.1.1.73 "public"
When I press enter I receive Invalid input: public
I have checked the manual and the syntax looks ok and I can't see where to set the value in the configuration menus.
Any one have an idea where I'm going wrong?
Thanks

Re: Setting SNMP Host on 2520G
You need to add a debug level (at least on the switch I tried (e.g. 'all').
But - tab completion.
snmp-server host 10.1.1.73 "public" <TAB>
none Send no log messages.
debug Send debug traps (for Internal use).
all Send all log messages
not-info Send all but informational-only messages.
critical Send critical-level log messages.

Hi,
I've just tried your suggestion but I'm still getting the same result adding the debug level.
