Simple Question for Vlan Tagged and Untagged Into Uplink

I have below connection:

|  SWA  | <--untagged vlan 10--> |  SWB  | <--tagged vlan 10--> |  SWC  | <--->|  DHCP server  |

from SWA to SWB, the uplink has config as untagged vlan 10, then from SWB to SWC is tagged vlan 10. So the question is, can the SWA user (vlan 10) get ip address from DHCP server?

Re: Simple Question for Vlan Tagged and Untagged Into Uplink

Hi

When the SWA user is in vlan 10 and the  DHCP server is in vlan 10. Then the answer is yes.  : ) It will get an DHCP address.

Kind regards

Re: Simple Question for Vlan Tagged and Untagged Into Uplink

i have the same setup for some long time, and all the while is working, but this morning user not able to get ip address out of sudden, nothing changed on the switch config or DHCP server. Then i change all the uplink to tagged vlan 10, finally user can get ip address from dhcp server again. I couldn't find any problem about this issue.
