Spanning Tree on MDF/IDF's

Hi,

I have seen/read mutiple posts on spanning-tree but still wanted some clarification.

My core is Cisco routers - 6807's and I have multiple MDF and IDF's. We are starting to implement more and more HP 5400 zl chassis. So there is mixed HP and Cisco environment.

My root switch is and/or should be the Cisco Router. This is what I have been told.

My questions :

1.  If the root switch is Cisco 6807 - I will have to have all VLAN's with a pripority of 0. Is that correct?

2. What about all the MDF's - do I set - spanning-tree priority 2 force-version rstp-operation" or spanning-tree force-version rstp-operation (default of 8)

3. What about the IDF's ? do I leave them at - spanning-tree force-version rstp-operation (default of 8)

The reason I am asking is because - sometimes we are getting "errdisable" on the LACP links on the Core 6807.

Thanks,

P
