Voice and Data segregation on Procurve switch
Hi all,
We have a small setup of:
2x HP Procurve switch
20x Windows PCs
20x Cisco SPA504G Phones
Would you recommend segregating the data and voice on to separate VLANs or just leave it on the same LAN with QOS?
Can you advise how to setup QOS?

Yes, you should use two different VLANs: 1 for Data, 1 for Voice.
QoS may not be necessary, provided you provision your links with enough bandwidth. It depends on where the voice traffic is going: if it's going off-site, then that WAN link is where the QoS will be critical, so you have to talk to your provider about how they do QoS and what kind of tagging, precisely, they are looking for in their classes-of-service that they provide. You then base your tagging on what they say they will honour.
