saving time switch HP Procurve
greetings,
i have problem about the date/time switch reset to jan 1st 1990 every switch shutdown or eventhough reboot for 20 second.
thanks for helping.

They don't have a battery-backed clock. SNMP timestamps are all relative to the boot time, so an absolute time isn't essential. You can configure an NTP server to synchronize from.

Example timesync from a 2920. It is almost exactly the same on all the current ProCurve switches.
timesync sntp sntp unicast sntp server priority 1 10.20.30.90 time daylight-time-rule user-defined begin-date 10/01 end-date 04/01 time timezone 600
Example is for Australia Eastern Time.
