support of SFP+ in 2930M

Hi,

I need to confirm If i can use the connector with part-number 455883-B21 in a switch (2930M).

This is an SFP+ of HP and I want to confirm if we can also use it in an switch 2930M.

Thanks,

Regards, Alex

Hi Alex,

Did you try the following commands?

SHOW INTERFACES TRANSCEIVER DETAIL

or perhaps you can use the command:

(config) allow-unsupported-transceiver (available on ArubaOS from 16.02)

Hello Alex,

since the 455883-B21 is a SFP+ Transceiver (and exactly for HPE BladeSystem c-Class) you shall need an Aruba 3810M/2930M 4SFP+ MACsec Module (JL083A) just in order to test it...an SFP+ Transceiver will not work (nor it will be recognized) when inserted into a SFP slot (Aruba 2930M frontplane slots are for SFP Transceivers).

An Aruba 2930M supported Short Range (SR) SFP+ Transceiver (using the JL083A) is the HPE X132 10G SFP+ LC SR Transceiver (J9150A).
