traffic monitoring, ProCurve 2610
I need to determine the amount of traffic (total bytes Tx) on various ports of our ProCurve 2610 switches (as you can imagine, to determine if a particular app is overloading the WAN). I've zeroed ports, and know that I can do this:
sw1# show int ethernet 1
Status and Counters - Port Counters for port 1
Name :
Link Status : Up
Totals (Since boot or last clear) :
Bytes Rx : 15,663,044 Bytes Tx : 37,055,211
Unicast Rx : 120,491 Unicast Tx : 123,345
Bcast/Mcast Rx : 19,923 Bcast/Mcast Tx : 169,099
Errors (Since boot or last clear) :
FCS Rx : 0 Drops Rx : 0
Alignment Rx : 0 Collisions Tx : 0
Runts Rx : 0 Late Colln Tx : 0
Giants Rx : 0 Excessive Colln : 0
Total Rx Errors : 0 Deferred Tx : 0
Rates (5 minute weighted average) :
Total Rx (bps) : 102120 Total Tx (bps) : 366560
Unicast Rx (Pkts/sec) : 0 Unicast Tx (Pkts/sec) : 0
B/Mcast Rx (Pkts/sec) : 0 B/Mcast Tx (Pkts/sec) : 0
Utilization Rx : 0 % Utilization Tx : 00.03 %
But then, I'd have to do a lot of copy/paste, or some kind of script to pull out the one piece of info I need to put on a spreadsheet for management. I must be missing something- isn't there some way to get a nice, clean "Tx since last clear" for all ports?
