unable to access switch via ssh : 5406 ZL
Hi, any assistance in this regard is really appreciated.
I'm unable to access our core 5406 zl switch via ssh. I use Putty and get the following error:
Server unexpectedly closed network connection.
Thanks,
Ric

Re: unable to access switch via ssh : 5406 ZL
This whole thread should be moved here (ProCurve / ProVision-Based), it has also a duplicate here that can be removed or merged.
What's the output of show ip ssh CLI command? did you enabled SSH v2 with the ip ssh version 2 CLI command in config mode?
This example (HPE Knowledge Article) can be of help (notice how SSH v1 was set, that's not advisable...better SSH v2, also notice that telnet server is disabled in favour of ssh server) provided that Operator and Manager passwords are already set.
I'm not an HPE Employee
