Altiris 5.5 SP2 and Proliant Integration Module 1.4
Posted on Altiris forums with no response yet..
We've had Altiris Deployment Server(DS) 5.5 SP2 around forever, and because of the economy had to cut support and upgrade-ability.
We just got a blade setup, and are interested to use the RDP software included with it. From what I can tell, they give you a standard DS 5.6 SP1 installer and a product called "Proliant Integration Module 1.4" that appears to just create sample events in DS to run SmartStart functions.
I'd rather not have to come up with ANOTHER server to run 5.6 SP1 when I've already got a 700 node 5.5 SP2 server running. Will I lose functionality or break anything if I try to install the PIM on my 5.5 SP2 Deployment server?
Thanks,
Jesse

Re: Altiris 5.5 SP2 and Proliant Integration Module 1.4
Nope. The RDP product is built upon the standard Altiris Deployment Server you already have.
BTW, I'd suggest upgrading to 5.6 SP1 Hotfix C.
