Create a RDP Job to deploy SErver with Dual Smart Array Controller
I have a DL380 G4 with Dual Smart Array Controllers.
I tried to use the default Job under server deployment ( Deploy ML/BL/DL + Windows 2003+ PSP) and gives me an error during Deploy Array configuration..
How Can I create a job or edit the existing ones? I might need to keep the default job and copy it to a new one..
Please advise.

Re: Create a RDP Job to deploy SErver with Dual Smart Array Controller
Orven:
1st... you should NEVER modify the defauly jobs. It makes it harder to get back to them. Instead... create a new folder for your environment and copy/paste existing jobs into it. Then modify those jobs.
Though I am not absolutely sure, you probably need to modify the array hardware file to specify "FIRST" or "SECOND", dependong on which array you want to configure.
Array hardware files are located in ./lib/hwconfig/array.
The default jobs use pl-rd.ini. In there, change the "CONTROLLER = ALL" to "CONTROLLER = FIRST" (or SECOND) and try the job. Or, better yet... following my first rule of thumb... copy the file to a new one and then modify the task that loads the array config to point to the new file you created.
