How to create 2 logical drives as part of scripted install?

Hello -

I see how to change the size of the boot partition by modifying the ExtendOemPartition value. Is there a way to create another partition using the unclaimed space?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Have a look at http://www.aefdisk.com.
You can use this utility to create/set partitions before the OS is installed.

Hiya

Yes use Microsofts Diskpart.exe tool. It ships with Windows 2003 and is a download for Windows 2000.

You actually need one logical drive made up of two partition or more. The logical drive is seen as disk 0, just select this drive create an additional partition, assign a drive letter, quit diskpart and format it.

This process i use all the time for IIS builds, 4gb extended to 6gb then the rest formatted as drive d:

Hope this helps
