Remote Deployment Utility - Unable to connect to target server

I tried launching RDU on a W2K running DL380 server and I receive this error: ccess to the target computer was denied, possibly due to incorrect authentication information, or permissions." I am trying to connect to the local server itself. Userid used is a member of the administrators group.

Ron,
Are you running RDU from a cd or from the hard drive?
What generation 380 is it? And what version of the RDU are you trying to launch?

Ron,
Try copying the CSP folder to your hard drive and running it from there.
I believe the directory is d:\compaq\csp\nt
Once the copy process is complete, take away the Read Only attribute from all files so you can preconfigure the PSP.

Re: Remote Deployment Utility - Unable to connect to target server

i tried your suggestion but i am still getting the same error.

I have pre configured all the configurable components - version control, Insight Mgmt agent, & Survey utility. I still connect connect to the target computer which is the local server where I am running the utility from.
