10 to 100 mb
I have a ML370 installed with smartstart, novell 5 sp5.
I suspect the onboard nic is running at 10 mb. The secondary nic in port 1 IS running at 10 mb. When the server boots, it emits a long beep and pauses while loading the nic drivers, and warns that the nic is running @ 10 mb (but I can't tell which nic it is refering to). Going into Inetcfg, the settings for both nics are the same:
speed=0 forceduplex=2 iomapmode=0 rxintdelay=1536
Server is connected to 3com 3300 series switch (autosensing).
I tried to force 100 mb w/full duplex, but then server didn't see other servers.
Any ideas would be gratefully accepted.
Thanks!
Peter

Re: 10 to 100 mb
By default the NICS run at 10mbs speed until you add the 100 FD switch on the command line . You may need to set the 3COM hub manaully to run at 100 mbs FD also .
Also run diags test the NICS make certain is no hardware problems .
