12 Gig of Ram computer will not boot

I am trying to install 12 gig of ram on a Proliant DL380 G4 with no success. I have 6 2GB DDR2 Pc2-3200P-333-12-J1. I can install 4 of the sticks of ram and the system can work correctly. I install the last 2 sticks of ram and the computer will not boot at all. Any suggestions?

Hi,
Do you have last server BIOS installed ?
Old server BIOS doesn't support dual-rank DIMMs.

Re: 12 Gig of Ram computer will not boot

It has the newest Bios the computer is only a week old and I checked on the HP website. I have 6 sticks of RAM and they are all exactly the same. I can use 4 sticks to equal 8 gig of RAM but when I try to install the last two sticks the computer will not boot. A red light on the front of the cover turns on and the computer just starts beeping.
