12g sas 6g sas combination
dear all
one of our server HP Prolant ML350p G8 1 sas drive faild (10 k sas 300 gb 6g (653955) for replacement i got only 1 12g sas (781581-006)
3 sas drive in one ary with raid now 1 faild
can you advice this combination will work and the same model is sutable for the same server

You can refer to the quickspecs of the server to check the types of drives that are compatible to the server:-

But since the raid is failed i strongly recommend you to contact HPE support by logging a case with them or work with them if there is an existing case number:-

you can mix drives of different speeds, . The 12g drive supports 6g speed. The primary requirement to replace a failed drive is the replacement must be the same capacity or larger
