Hello
I am getting the message on a Proliant PL1600r. The main fan in the CPU enclosure had failed. I replaced the fan (both are the exact same including pin config and amps). However the server still boots to this message. I know the board has a thermal sensor that may be causing this error (I don't think that is the case as the fan had stopped working) but I don't know how to get around this error?
The error message does appear before I can get into the BIOS (F12 right?). Do I have to boot off of setup CD's in order to shut this sensor down? Any tips would be great!
Thanks All

Re: 1611 - CPU Fan Failure
I looked at that board and then looked again and again for that second fan connection. Anyways I guess I was looking with my mouth.
Got it, thanks.
