16G initiator and 8G target
Hi, I see my company has new Servers with 16G FC initiators and trying to connect to the storage MSA 2050 with 8G target to host ESXi servers and some application for testing. Just wanted to confirm that all the servers initiators will get only 8G automatically, and no need of any special configuration due to the different speed of links between the node and target. The FC switch is 16G.

Re: 16G initiator and 8G target
The connection server switch will be 16G, MSA to switch will be 8G in this case.
But the MSA is able to do 16G too, you only need to swap the SFP.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
