172-EISA Configuration Nonvolatile Memory Invalid

I have Proliant 2500 server running Windows 2000 server (SP2). I am getting "172-EISA Configuration Nonvolatile Memory Invalid" error, then "162-System options not set" error. I have downloaded the Compaq diagnostics to 4 disks and run the diagnostics to clear problems. However, the same error appears every time I cold reboot the server i.e. power-off and power-on, it is OK with warm reboot (Ctrl, Alt , Del). Can you please help with this problem?

Many thanks

Kenny

Re: 172-EISA Configuration Nonvolatile Memory Invalid

Go into the F10 partition. Let it autoconfigure and then save and exit. If the F10 partition is not installed then boot off a Smart Start cd and run the System Configuration Utility. Please do not install this as it will repartition your hard drives.
