18.2 Gb Drive replacement in RAID5
We have one failed Compaq Hot-pluggable 18.2 Gb 10K 336358-B21 WU 1.6" HDD in RAID5 array in drive cage2 in our Proliant 6000 4xPentiumPro 200 server. Could it be replaced by Compaq 18.2 Gb 10K WU PLT HDD 1" 128417-B21 (the only one available for purchase now) on the run and wiould this latest drive be compatible including cage mounting rails etc.? Thank you.

Re: 18.2 Gb Drive replacement in RAID5
technologically it is compatible but it doesnt come with rails..it is a hot plug drive..its mounting bracket is part of it and it simply slides into a hot plug bay
