180 G5 with E200 hangs on boot
I have a Proliant 180 G5 server with a E200/128BBWC card installed. There are 8 SAS disks attached in to the card and the server itself is running Windows server 2008 x64.
Whenever i try to reboot the server it hangs before windows starts to load, just showing a blinking marker at one side of the screen. All Green lights on the disks are constantly on.
If i press f8 during startup is says that, the logical disk is OK. Last time i got it up, the raid was rebuilt, and it was ok, according to the HP configuration manager used from windows.
I can get the OS up and running if i pull and fail one of the disks, but whenever a disk is replaced, it rebuilds ok, and then it hangs on startup.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Re: 180 G5 with E200 hangs on boot
So, looking at another thread, it just hit me that i had a exernal USB disk plugged in, removing that solved the problem. Or its at least a work around.
