18G Quantum HDD

We tried to install a 18G Quantum HDD in the
Compaq Proliant server but could not get
through "Sector Conversion." under Netware 4.11.
The CPQSDISK error message was:
Drive failed to initialize the disk drive on
CPQS710 slot 0.
It was fine with the 9G Quantum HDD.
NW4SP9 was installed in the system.
Do we have to upgrade the Compaq disk drives?
Where can we get them or are there any alternate
drivers from Netware 4.11?
Please advise. Thanks.

My advice would be to go with one of the supported drives from the Quickspecs list which can be found at any authorized compaq dealer/reseller.
