2 smart array p400 and DL580

Hi All,

Smart Array P400 was added to DL580 G5 as 2nd RAID controller. This will be used to 2nd disks bay and its using RedHat. 2nd RAID card was installed in slot 9 as the other 2 slots were already occupied by HBA card. After doing this, we received these errors every 3 minutes.

kernel: ide-cd: cmd 0x1e timed out
kernel: hda: irq timeout: status=0xd0 { Busy }
kernel: hda: irq timeout: error=0x00
kernel: hda: ATAPI reset complete

Anyone encountered error messsages mentioned above.

Hi,

we have the same problem with a DL580 G5 running on SLES10 SP2. Already opened a call at Novell support. They told us that we have to conatct HP support, because they assume a problem with the HP agents from Proliant support pack.
