2003 R2 installation on 140 G3
Is there any way of installing this OS in the DL 140 G3 with SAS Hard drives with RAID1 without a floppy?

If you are facing issues in providing the drivers then you could this
http://www.nliteos.com/nlite.html
http://www.nliteos.com/download.html
to create a windows CD with all the drivers in it .Please give some detail about the issue

Re: 2003 R2 installation on 140 G3
You simply run the program after installing it, point it to the drivers you want to add to your dristribution and it builds a new iso image for you. YOu take them image and burn to CD, boot from it and it has all the drivers you need (which ever you've loaded) without having to hit F6 or anything.

Re: 2003 R2 installation on 140 G3
as Nlite doesnt works for me
for the DL 140 G3 SAS I added the Driver
Cp007914 ( 4/8 SAS Controller ) as stated from the insight diagnostic, but it still doesnt find the disks ;(
maybe you can help
(I did that already on a DL320 Machine with SATA Controller and there it worked right out of the box )

Re: 2003 R2 installation on 140 G3
Indeed you have the Correct Drivers;

Though they Refer SATA Raid, Its the Same Process for the SAS drive/Drivers as well.
Please let us know;

James.

Re: 2003 R2 installation on 140 G3
The driver from HP are just not good, if you download them from the supply of the SAS Controller it works right out of the box
it is not the only driver which fails to install the network card is another sad story, had to download them from Broadcom ( it is the 5721 Driver !! ) to bad that hp cant supply the right drivers on the DL 140 G3 Support Page, there is also a Typo Error on the HP Site station that it is a 5722 Chip
Taking in Count that the DL 140 R3 is not support PSP or SmartDisk at all , I would recommend this entry Server to no one on the entry LEvel as the workload is way to much
( took me alsmost 3 Days to ship around the errors and the support in Europe was nice but I had to clear the errors myself ;(
