2500 Static Timer Error Message

I have a proliant 2500 that seemed to work fine with 1 processor. I added a second processor, ran the diagnostics (most recent version), and kept receiving a static timer error when I did the CPU diags. I went ahead and procured a good working mobo, another proc, and different ram. I then proceeded to switch out all of those parts, but to no avail. I have been on the phone with compaq support a bunch of times, but no one can tell me exactly what the static timer error message means, or what I should try to swap out next. This server is not great, but with dual procs, it would be fine to run SUS on, since I only have 125 clients hitting it. Well, please let me know if you know what generates the static timer error message.

Are both processors the same stepping level?

You may have to physically look at the processors to get the stepping number off of them.

Re: 2500 Static Timer Error Message

I receive this error whether or not I have one processor in or both matching processors in.
