2x300GB SFF HP not showing in my computers

Dear Friends ..

i have newly installed HP ProLiant DL380p Gen8 E5-2609 P420i/512MB FBWC 4x1Gb Flex 1x8GB(L) 2x300GB SFF HP DVD-RW 1x460W and installed microsoft windows server 2008 r2 standard edition ,only one 300 gb hard disk is showing in computer management but another 300gb is not showing ,so please support me to solve this issue.

Windows or any other O/S will not "see" the physical disks, it will see the logical drives presentet to it by the RAID controller (Smart Array).

I haven't worked with the P420, but if they havn't changed a lot, it will autoconfigure 2 (same size) drives as a RAID 1 (mirroring).

In you case, you've got a 300 GB RAID 1 :)

From windows run array configuration utility (or SSA) to inspect your array configuration, you will find a mirrored logical drive based on 2 physical disks. Windows itself can only see the single logical drive.
