3 processor servers?

3 processor servers?

My parent company has specced a Compaq ML570g2 server for us with 3 processors. I've never heard of a 3 processor system, except where a 4th has failed. Would you see this as a viable/recommendable solution, or should I be going for a 4 processor system?

Sure, three processors will work in the machine fine. It's just unusual in that most people will opt to go for 4 when they get more than two processors.
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..
