331T NIC and DL360 GEN 9 Compatibility?

Hi All,

I have purchased a DL360 GEN 9 and I am trying to find out how to install a 331T NIC?

The 331T NIC card is PCIe and I can see a suitable PCIe slot on the rear section of the DL360 GEN 9.

Are the DL360 GEN 9 and teh 331T compatible or would I have to use a FlexibleLOM type NIC?

Thanks in advance.

Hope not be wrong but HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen9's QuickSpecs reports that HPE Ethernet 1Gb 4-port 331T Adapter (647594-B21) is supported as a Core Option.

Re: 331T NIC and DL360 GEN 9 Compatibility?

Thanks, yes I am more of a software guy and didn't realize that smaller PCIe cards can still fit into larger PCIe slots on the mobo. I removed the T shaped PCIe riser (coloured blue) from the rear of the server and popped the card in and it is recognised OK by the BIOS.

Thanks.

Perfect! I'm a beginner too about HPE ProLiant...when in doubt first check always (latest available) product's QuickSpecs and/or Product's Hardware configuration guides/manuals...and you will be OK!
