3c509b 3com NIC

When installing 3c509b LAN card in slot 1 the cfg file is accepted and resources amended. Server hardware settings saved. On reboot the server errors stating the device in slot 1 cannot be found. I've down loaded the latest 3com cfg files. The card is ok, the 3com utility self tests ok and using client software it can access the LAN. Any suggestions as to why the server hardware configuration cannot see the NIC

More information is required. What is the BOOS date of the server? What other cards are installed in PIC/IA slots? Try moving the card to another slot and run the configuration utility again.
