3rd Party SATA solutions?

Figuring you can get 1TB SATA drives nowadays for around $100 dollars, what are the chances of it working with a HP ML350 G5?

I know reliability might be an issue but it's used mostly for low access storage and I figured with a RAID 5 and online spare it should be reliable enough.

Can this be done?

You Could probably try one of these adaptec controllers, seems to support both SAS and SATA drive upto 1TB.

Re: 3rd Party SATA solutions?

Thanks but I just installed some Seagate Barracuda ES.2 and it seems to work fine without resorting to purchasing another scsi controller. I'll post back up if I discover any differences between buying a HP branded disk or swapping it with a non-HP branded disk
