3x1x16 IP Console (KVM) Switch - VPN/WAN Access

The problem is that our switch that has a LAN IP works fine within the LAN, however if we run the IP Console Viewer from a workstation outside of the LAN (from another ISP), using our VPN Client (Aventail 5.x) the IP Console Viewer software will not find the switch. All ports and permissions are open on our VPN server. I was wondering if the switch can be used in this way. Or is the return path that the switch broadcasts on only going to the VPN server and not to the workstation on which the Viewer resides. In any case, what solutions can be implemented to use the IP Console Viewer to connect to our switch from our home or remote support workstations? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi!

I am working on the same issue right now!
Using etherreal, I managed to identify 2 ports that are always used by the KVM and the client (2068 and 8192) and a third one that seems to be dynamically assigned.

I'll keep you updated on the situation!

The viewer uses network ports 2068, 8192, 3211, and 161.
There’s your problem!!! This thing is set to EVIL!
