4 Nic Cards

I use the HP teaming software that gets installed on the DL 380 by default. The new g7's now come with 4 nic cards and I was wondering if there was a benefit of using all 4 as opposed to turning off 2 of the cards and only using to for redundancy purposes.

I use all 4 x 1 Gbps in adaptive load balancing. You set your switch port team to trunk on HP switches. So all four switch ports are trunked. if one port fails on either side you get 3 Gbps. SQL and Exchange love it. Your backups are faster having them trunked.
