4 Port Nic not supported in DL320 G4.
Has anyone come across this problem. We have bought a DL320 G4 and installed Windows 2003 Server. We bought a HP 4 port nic card (NC340T). The riser in the server is a PCI Express with 2 bays. The nic card which was bought is PCI X so a bay had to be bought and this was then swapped with 1 of the PCI Express bays. With the riser plugged in the server boots up fine with the card inserted the server will not boot at all and show the message that the PCI card is not supported. HP have confirmed that the card and server are compatable and that a Firmware and BIOS update are that is required. This has been done but I am still getting problems. I am still trying to get an answer from the HP helpdesk but thought I'd try this forum as well. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Cheers,

Re: 4 Port Nic not supported in DL320 G4.
Hi Glenn,
Flash the system firmware and then install the adapter.

Re: 4 Port Nic not supported in DL320 G4.
Problem was finally fixed this week. Problem was resolved by replacing the system motherboard apparantly there are 3 versions. Just got to do it on 2 more server now.
