4mm Tape Drive install

I'm trying to install an HP 4mm SCSI Tape drive. I've got the driver installed, but the system doesn't see that there's any hardware in place. I've triple checked that all my connections are correct. What am I missing?

Hello,
Please make sure that you have the latest System BIOS and it is imperative that you run System Configuration utility by going in F10 system partition. Whenever any hardware change takes place in a COMPAQ server the System Configuration utility needs to be run.
