5300 RAID Controller envokes the Eject/Unplug Utility in W2K

Has anyone else had a problem with SMARTARRAY 5300 series controllers envoking the Eject/Unplug Utility in Windows 2000 Server. I have had this problem on every ML570 and DL580 Server i have loaded with Windows 2000 Server. I was wondering of there was any pathes or SoftPAQ to solve this issue

this is not a standard issue for certain..are you getting a message specifically saying that the 5300 has caused the eject/unplug? cause they REALLY are not related at all

Hmm. I have used the 5300 series with the Ml570 without trouble. However, during install you have to make sure you use the smart start that came with the array controller and not the one that came with the server. When you do the 5300 shows up as something else in the smart gui utilitiy. So, perhaps you used the wrong smart start cd during install? Not likely I admit but just a thought.
