5500R Quad PIII Xeon SmartArray 3200 Setup
I would like to do the following setup.
Please explain if this can be done:
OS > Red Hat 9.0
Webserver > Apache
PL interface for JSP > cant remember :(
DB > MYSQL
Also when I turn on the server I get the can not find disk.
This server has Hotswap drives on 3200 controller.
Please be specific as to the software and the order in which I will need to use it.
I must need some kind of utility disk(s) as I cant seem to use keys to get into the bios or configure the raid card.
Well I guess you figured it out. I am a NOOOB
Thanx for he help.

Re: 5500R Quad PIII Xeon SmartArray 3200 Setup
If you have a smart start cd, that├в s the way to go- with it you can run the System Configuration Utility and the Array configuration utility. If you don't have a smart cd - it would be a problem configuring the 3200 controller but you can still run the SCU from the floppy - this can be found @ http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/13227.h
ThereтАЩs your problem!!! This thing is set to EVIL!

Re: 5500R Quad PIII Xeon SmartArray 3200 Setup
Thanx for the advice however this does not answer my questions. I need to know if I can install Linux Red Hat 9.0 on the 5500R. I also need to know in what order to use which set of disks. I have been able to get linux cd to post and can go through the setup now but I am still having a problem with it finding the drives.
If anyone could help it would be great.
