805-Unsupported processor detected
I got a Compaq Proliant ML370.
At first the Problem Reported was No display.
Memory Configuration:-
1GB 2No's Compaq
512MB 2 No's HP
After Diagnosing i found 2*512MB RAM's were faulty.
after removing the 512MB RAM's Display issue got solved.
But now i came getting an error on the POST screen and from there it got stuck.
ERROR:805-Unsupported processor detected
This system has an unsupported processor installed. Check www.hp.com to determine if a newer ROM version supports this processor.
Insert ROMPAQ Diskette and press any key when ready.
Please Advice!
thanks in advance.

Re: 805-Unsupported processor detected
Hi
Was the CPU replaced? And is in the the supported CPU matrix?
Please specify generation of the server. G1 -> G6.
Most likely when replacing has occured the BIOS is not up to date enought to recognize the CPU or an unsupported CPU has been installed.
When the CPU is supported then you need to:
1. get an older CPU that the cuttent BIOS supports.
2. update the firmware of the BIOS
3. reseat the new CPU
Note: you cant update firmware then the CPU isnt working.

Re: 805-Unsupported processor detected
I am not able to find the which generation server it is!
is there is any utility to find the same.
as i mentioned in my earlier post only two ram's were removed and system booted with degraded memory configuration.
