Re: A parity error detected on \Device\Scsi\Cpq32fs22
Hi Pham,
Seems like an issue with the external cable connections.
Check the cable for bent pins and try reseating the cable and terminator that are used to connect library and scsi controller in addition to all the cables that the tape drive uses.
If possible try changing the cables.
Also would suggest you to run the server diagnostics for more information.
Also check if there are any errors with the hardware components through the IML.
Hope this works!!!!
Regards,
rmn

Re: A parity error detected on \Device\Scsi\Cpq32fs22
Hello Dung,
Event id 9 in most cases is an informational message and does'nt have any effect on the server performance.
If this is not the case and there are issues while taking a backup, read
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=c00704700
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=PSD_EM020130_CW01
Also as part of best practices, tape device should not connected to a smart array controller.
