ACU-EX for OS/2 Warp
Hi,
I am in desparate need of an array configuration utility for OS/2 Warp 4.0.
We are in the process of moving a really large bank onto Proliant servers for their OS/2 Warp (2000 servers 16000 users)
Also, what we are trying to achieve is that we want to create the partition on a single Raid-0 drive attached to SA-641 controller within the OS/2 startup and load.
Anyone know of this, your help would be greatly appreciated.

I do not know of any ACU versions for Warp. But you could use a SmartStart CD with the ACU on the CD to configure the array "offline".
Here is a link to all the drivers and such for Warp:

G'luck!

Re: ACU-EX for OS/2 Warp
John,
Thanks for your quick reply. An additional issue is that the bank want to standardize on the use of OS/2.
I am going to use the Smartstart scripting toolkit to automate the setup of the servers initial configuration.
It is also my feeling that the bank is being silly saying the smartstart script is only a temp solution and that they need something permanent in OS/2
Had any exposure to the Smartstart scripting toolkit? is it self explanatory?

The trouble with giving you a solid answer is that HP has not provided much in the way of support for Warp.
They are still developing tools and drivers for Warp, as we speak.
ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/servers/os%20feature%20matrix%20103000.pdf
They have not released certifications for the harware on Warp let alone the methods of enterprise class deployment.
HP shows sample scripts in in the download for use in deploying OS2 but the last I looked they were not included. Maybe in the next revision ( 2.4 ? )of the Toolkit, there will be more support.
