ACU RAID-1 4 DISKS ONE OR TWO ARRAYS ?

Proliant ML 350 G3 SA 642

4 x 36 DB disks

Want to use them as 2 different physical disks/partionons C: and D: and each disk mirrored (RAID-1)

My question is when configuring this in ACU, should one or two arrays be created and used ?

Henche the difference:
alt 1)
Array A
Logical disk 1 36 GB RAID 1
Logical disk 2 36 GB RAID 1

alt 2)
Array A
Logical disk 1 36 GB RAID 1
Array B
Logical disk 2 36 GB RAID 1

Re: ACU RAID-1 4 DISKS ONE OR TWO ARRAYS ?

Jan,

I would say that alt2 is a better option just because changes/failures in one array will not effect the other array.

There’s your problem!!! This thing is set to EVIL!
