ACU crashing

Hi all,

I have a DL360 G5  running Windows 2008 R2 with an additional P812 SAS controller connected to a D2600 disk enclosure. What I am finding is that when I try to change controllers in ACU to the P812 it crashes. This also happens with a P411 SAS controller we have in another server which is also running Windows 2008 R2. The P812 firmware is at v5.12, the driver has been updated to v6.20 and ACU has been updated to v8.70.9.0. but stil the crashing persists.

Once in a blue moon you will change controller in ACU and it will bring up the controller page, but 9 times out of 10 it crashes

Has anyone else come across this issue?

Re: ACU crashing

Hello,

This is not a regular issue and it needs more research.

I would suggest you to uninstall the ACU and install the ACU using the link provided below:

Re: ACU crashing

Just a guess.

Did you change anything with IE?

I think ACU uses IE to run. Could be that Java needs to be update?

Re: ACU crashing

Thanks for the tips guys. I shutdown the server and ran the smartstart CD and ACU works fine from there. There is no java installed on the server so I dont think that is the problem. I will try another browser to see if it is IE v8 which is the problem.

thanks for your help again guys.
